About

The Bead Society meets the first Thursday of every month. The meetings are held from 7-9 pm in the recreation room at St John’s Lutheran Church, 1410 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE (the corner of Ponce and Oakdale) in Atlanta. Facing the church from Oakdale, use the far left door, with the ramp. The doors open at 6:30 for fellowship and “Show & Tell” prior to the start of the meeting.

Dues are $25 per year (Jan-Dec) and include up to eleven instructional projects – not to mention door prizes and our blow-out annual Holiday Celebration in December. After August dues are $15 (Aug-Dec). A bunch of us also retire after the meeting to the local pizza parlor to stuff our faces and continue the beading atmosphere and camaraderie – any and all are welcome to join us.

A few other benefits of becoming a member include:

  • Discounts from participating bead stores and vendors
  • Fellowship at a nearby pizza joint after each meeting
  • Additional opportunities to expand your knowledge hosted by ABS
